Fabian Danobeytia
Hi, I'm Fabian Danobeytia, and I am running to represent Ward 5 in the Tucson City Council. I am running because I was compelled to do something to prevent the injustices being carried out at the direction of President Trump. As a newer face in the political realm, I aim to bring a different set of priorities to the job. It's time to break from the norms of party selected candidates and instead move towards people-selected leaders.
I am running for Tucson City Council in Ward 5 to fight for affordable housing, workers' rights, and a city that prioritizes people over corporate interests. Born in Tucson to a working-class immigrant family, I understand firsthand the struggles of everyday Tucsonans. With a background in technology, I've spent my career solving complex problems—and now I'm ready to bring that same approach to City Hall. But real change doesn’t happen alone. It takes a movement, and that movement starts with you.
One of the most powerful tools we have is word of mouth. Talking to your friends, family, and neighbors about this campaign helps build the momentum we need to win. Every conversation, every social media share, every personal story told about why you support Fabian strengthens our collective voice. Beyond donating or volunteering, simply spreading the word can make a massive impact—because people trust the voices in their community.
The big-money interests won’t back us, but Tucson’s working people will. Donate, volunteer, and most importantly, tell others about Fabian Danobeytia’s vision for a Tucson that works for all of us. Together, we can make this happen.
Democracy is about more than just casting a ballot—it’s about ensuring that every voice is heard, every community is represented, and every person has a stake in shaping the future of our city. But too often, working families, immigrants, and marginalized communities are shut out of the decision-making process while big-money interests dictate the policies that affect our daily lives. We must change that.
As a candidate for Tucson City Council in Ward 5, I believe in a government that works for the people, not just the wealthy and well-connected. That means expanding access to the ballot, ensuring transparency in city government, and that policy decisions reflect the needs of those who live and work in our communities
Housing is a necessity, not a luxury—yet too many Tucson families are struggling to keep up with rising rents and housing costs. Wages aren’t keeping pace, corporate investors are buying up homes to turn a profit, and working people are being priced out of their own neighborhoods. There are powerful steps we can take at the city level to ensure housing is affordable, accessible, and protected from corporate greed.
• Expanding Affordable Housing
• Protecting Renters from Predatory Practices
• Keeping Tucson’s Growth Fair and Inclusive
For too long, working people in Tucson have struggled to make ends meet while corporations and wealthy developers rake in record profits. Wages have stagnated, housing costs are rising, and too many families are one unexpected expense away from crisis. Our economy should work for the people who power it—not just for those at the top.
As your City Council member, I will fight for policies that lift up working families, protect workers’ rights, and build an economy where everyone has a fair shot at success.
Building a Tucson That Cares for Everyone
A strong community is one that takes care of its people. In Tucson, too many of our neighbors are struggling—whether it’s families being priced out of their homes, workers fighting for fair wages, or unhoused individuals being left without support. We need policies that don’t just respond to these issues but prevent them. That means investing in social care programs that provide stability, dignity, and opportunity for all.
